It’s a sad Netflix day in my home

Today is the day I made a tough decision. I’ve decided to cut back my Netflix subscription from the two-at-a-time plan to the the single disc at a time plan. I really don’t know why I haven’t done this sooner as I don’t get through my DVDs as fast as I used to.

While I’m not doing this solely for the economic impact of it–although the $4 difference a month will add up (that’s like a package of Oreos a month, right?)–it started to become apparent to me that the higher DVD plan was a waste of money.

I have had two DVDs at home for over two months. They have been sitting on my bookshelf, untouched. It’s not that I don’t have time to watch things like I used to. Because I still watch television shows. We still pick up the occasional film from RedBox. It’s just that I’m more finicky now. Apparently, I have a difficult time predicting what movie I will be in the mood for two days from now.

Then, when I do sit down to watch something, TV has been more appealing to me. It’s just that I’ve already invested time in certain shows, and now I need to see them through to the end. They NEED me, you know?

And, s0, I bid you farewell, two-at-a-time plan. It’s with a great fondness that we part ways. Thanks for the memories! 🙂
