Well, now that I have the tune to “Manic Monday” stuck in my head, I’m finding it difficult to focus on my post of the day. Really, fall TV should be every week–just so I have an excuse/motivation to write every day. It’s pretty stinking hot here, so I’ll try to type with as little movement as possible to try to keep cool….or perhaps I should write this with my feet in the baby swimming pool?
Hot or not, here is what Wednesday will be offering us this fall:
ABC:The Middle–Readers of my blog will know I adore this show and highly recommend it. Last season, I even found it consistently better than Modern Family. Shhh! Don’t tell anyone I said that or I’ll probably lose my TV cred. 😉
CBS: Survivor: Blood vs. Water–I think I’ve reached my limit on how much reality TV a person can watch. Just like all reality series, I’m sure this season offers up a “shocking twist” that isn’t really very shocking or much of a twist.
CW: Arrow— We all know the most kick-ass archer these days is Katniss Everdeen.
FOX: The X Factor–I’ll just stick with The Voice as my preference of singing competitions. They seem much nicer there.
NBC: Revolution–Even though this series stars “moustache Dad” from the Twilight movies, I’m still intrigued. I’ll try to catch up with it on Netflix because I dig the concept.
ABC: Back in the Game— So is this kind of like the Bad News Bears only with James Caan? I can’t quite decide if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. But I’ll watch it. I’m a sucker for underdog sports shows.
ABC: Modern Family— It’s not often that a show is both critically acclaimed and liked by me. This is one of those rare cases.
CBS: Criminal Minds–I’ve caught a few episodes of this series and it’s not bad. I do have too many procedurals on my DVR–otherwise I would have made room for this one.
CW: The Tomorrow People– Well, I have a soft spot for a good sci-fi show & this one could quench that thirst on Wednesdays. It’s about a group of people with paranormal abilities who are being chased by some jerkwad scientists. (*note: I don’t actually know the scientists are jerks. They may be very nice. I just assume that they are going to be villainous. And yes, I know what happens when I assume).
NBC: Law & Order: SVU–I’m amazed that this show is in its 14th season–that’s learner’s permit territory, ya know?
ABC: Super Fun Night–I kind of feel like the title is trying too hard. Go ahead, prove me wrong. I’ll gladly admit the error of my ways.
ABC: Nashville–So Claire from Heroes decided to take a stab at country music when she found out she was invincible? Must be a rough industry.
CBS: CSI– I’m pretty sure there are so many crime shows on TV that there is one on no matter what time you turn on the tube.
NBC: Ironside–This new drama stars Blair Underwood as a paraplegic detective who solves crimes in the Big Apple. I’m actually a bit curious about this show as it does seem to take a new spin on this genre.
Well, that’s all she wrote, folks. Take care and I’ll see you back here tomorrow for a summary of Thursday’s offerings.
