The Muppets (2011)


I don’t see many movies in the theaters. Mostly because I’ve grown to strongly dislike—nay, almost loathe—the movie-going experience. From rude audience members who somehow deem it necessary to talk or text during the film to outrageous ticket prices, I just don’t find myself heading down to the ol’ cinemaplex like I used to. However, I do have one particular theater that I absolutely love: the one in my home town.

Day 54: Sunshine Cleaning (2008)


I am waiting ever so patiently for the UPS truck to arrive. Ever so patient, I am. You see, the UPS truck has precious cargo—or at least, precious to me—Fallout: New Vegas. Now, I won’t waste your time talking about how psyched I am for this video game; I did enough of that yesterday. But still, I wait. To pass the time (and to knock off another title from the list), I watched Sunshine Cleaning. Yeah, I’ll be honest; I chose it because it was 91 minutes long. Hey, I have to save some of this motivation for Fallout, right?

Day 48: Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian (2009)


When I was a kid, two of my favorite books were The Castle in the Attic and The Indian in the Cupboard. Both of these tales involved toy historical figures coming to life and or sucking the owner into a historic era. Come to think of it, The Castle in the Attic reminded me a lot of the scene in Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure when the crazy duo jet on into Medieval times– only The Castle in the Attic used the phrase, “dude” considerably less. I loved these stories; the idea of history literally coming to life always enthralled me.
