Out on Netflix: 4//19/11 Edition


Does your queue need some sprucing up? Maybe you are too comfortable with each other and don’t even bother trying to look nice for it anymore. Why not do something nice for your queue: perhaps a little “adding spree” would make it feel young again. Feel free to insert any makeover scene from just about any random teen movie here. Personally, I’m feeling the Encino Man montage myself, bud-dy (“I’m too sexy for this song…”). The great amazon challenge of 2011


I am an Amazon addict. I am on that site way too often. It’s one of the first pages I pull up on my browser in the morning. Being a list person, I like to window shop and add ideas to my wish list. I peruse the gold box deals daily, though I have only bought one featured item in my history with Amazon (It was a box of file folders. How dull is that?). Ultimately, my wish list becomes out of control, and I then take an afternoon to whittle it down. The next day, like a crazy person, I can usually be found visiting Amazon’s website and adding more things to my list. I find the whole process strangely therapeutic.

2010 Year End Wrap-Up


I can’t believe that tomorrow is New Year’s Eve already. It always seems that once Halloween is over, the rest of the year flies by at quadruple speed (this is two gears down from warp speed, FYI). Apparently, the turkey coma I acquired from our Thanksgiving meal hindered my posting frequency. After recuperating from this malady, I was then stricken with the panic that I had Christmas presents to buy, a holiday party to plan, and decorations to put up. My posts stuttered along. However, I was still watching a crap load (I am pretty sure this is the technical term—or is it a butt load?) of movies and TV shows. Diligently I took notes, and had the fullest intentions of writing their reviews, but it’s difficult to be motivated during the holidays…..Let’s just say you should expect a bunch of reviews after the New Year’s Eve hangover releases its dizzying grasp on me—most likely around January 2.
